Victim’s Father Breaks Silence On US$300,000 Lawsuit

Student Richard Gbai who instituted the action of damage for wrong against the J.J United Methodist School

The father of a senior student of the J.J Roberts United Methodist School has finally broken silence on his 300,000 United States Dollars lawsuit against the administration of the J.J Roberts United Methodist School following an assault on his son left eye by the Dean of Student Affairs.

The victim’s father Richard Tamba Tuesday reaffirmed to our judicial correspondent that they are currently before the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of the Monsterrado County known as the Civil Law Court with a 300,000 United States Dollars lawsuit against the Dean of Student Affairs, Dolo Mulbah and the school’s authority.

Tamba revealed that since Dean  Mulbah allegedly  assaulted student Richard Gbai on his left eye in December 2025 on the school campus, authority of the School has been insensitive to the plight of his kid causing him to lost his site gradually.

The victim’s father, according our Judicial Correspondent,  further dispelled reports that the intent of their legal action against  the school’s authority is for monetary gain claiming that their only concern is for their kid to seek advanced treatment abroad.

Our Judicial Correspondent also revealed that since the victim’s father instituted the lawsuit, the school’s authority has reportedly launched an investigation in connection to the December 2024 incident on the School Campus.

In a  relative development, the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of the Montsterrado County has since issued a writ of summon for the administration of the J.J Robert United Methodist School and its Board of Trustees along with the Dean of Student Affairs, Dolo Mulbah to appear before the court on or before May 31, 2025.

The school authority pending appearance according to our Judicial Correspondent will set the stage for full litigation during for the June Term of Court consistent with law.
